Beautiful Seashell Ring

So I recently saw the most beautiful seashell ring and just needed to have it. It is gorgeous! I did not even know it was made out of a seashell! I LOVE that it is made out of one of natures most beautiful gifts! I was on a desperate search to find this ring. I contacted the actress's (shown in the picture) people who responded by saying she was given that ring and that I must contact a particular gifting company for celebrities. So, I contacted the gifting company who then provided me the name of the jewlery designer. FINALLY!! I contacted the jewelry designer directly, and YES, I got a response (sent directly from their iphone) immediately! The designer said they could send me the exact ring that the actress is wearing in the picture and that all they needed was to know my ring size! I was soooo excited until I thought to myself, "wait a minute....how much does this ring cost????" And that is when reality shut my dream down. The ring costs a whopping $300.oo. Now, I cannot afford that right now, but it is a gorgeous ring and I can believe that it would be worth that much! What a bummer that was for me. In any case, I will still dream that one day I might be able to have that ring! I had to share it with you so you can join me in that dream. I know you will LOVE it! The jewelry maker is Adonis Shell Jewelry.

I Wish I had the guts to do!! :O/

Oh, is there ever something you wish you could just be fearless and just do something like sky diving, riding a motorcycle, bungee jumping, etc...This might sound soooo ridiculous, but I wish I had the guts to get a small tattoo. I just can't bring myself to permanently mark my body. I would be too afraid and I would not want to look bad. But if I were one day brave enough to do it, I would get a tiny one on the top of my foot...nothing close to the size of the ones in these pictures. I would want tiny angel wings or a rendition of an angel statue I have that I love so much. I'm definitely too afraid to ever get one, but it is one of those things, that I wish I had the guts to do.

A True Fashion Icon: Gwen Stefani

She has never been afraid to take chances and has always always been on the forefront of style and design. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE HER FASHION FEARLESSNESS AND FIERCENESS!

"My heart is the ruler of all my being"

"My heart is the ruler of all my being...who I am ...where I want to be...who I want to be with...nobody really forces me to do anything. This could be one of the best things about me...and it could be one of the worst.
If my heart tells me it's true..that's good enough for me." Diary, Jennifer Lopez

This quote I once heard has truly stuck with me. Jennifer Lopez has been a very successful woman and at the same time has always just followed her heart. I have always believed this to be true. We must always follow our heart. Why is it so hard to do though? I believe we really do get caught up in the insanity this society possesses. We forget to listen to our spirit and our heart. Our heart and spirit are our truth. I believe that to follow our heart, that's what makes us truly successful. It brings us peace and happiness. It allows us to live according to our spirit and be and do what we were meant to be and do while here on this earth. I am inspired to always follow my heart.

My Pandora

Pandora:
A place where everything co-exists in harmony and balance without fear, jealousy, violence, selfishness and hate. All energy is in sync and possesses only calm and serenity.
So, two months ago, I, like so many other people, went to watch the movie Avatar. I was skeptical at first, as I am not too fond of sci-fi type movies (which I thought this movie might be). Boy, was I wrong! instead, Avatar was anything but another sci-fi type movie. I was first inspired to see the movie when my sister had come home after seeing it and could not stop talking about the beauty and pure essence of the film. She explained to me how Avatar depicts a beautiful world unlike the one we live in here on Earth. She explained that the movie places a true value on nature and on oneness with the environment. The Navi who live in Pandora, are truly one with nature and energy around them. She explained that I would identify with this movie just as she did and that I must go see it. So, my boyfriend and I went to see Avatar the next week. WOW, it was truly amazing! Yes, the 3D effects were unbelievable and cutting edge. But for me it was the story that was captivating and awe-inspiring. It truly left me with a renewed spirit and understanding that I must strive to be a better person and recognize that I exist on borrowed energy from the universe. As one author put it, "the film is a wake-up call—reminding us of the dangers of greed, unconsciousness, disconnection, insensitivity and arrogance, both globally and personally. It's also a bold call for each of us to reconnect with that which is most sacred to us, to focus on what truly matters and to remember how connected we are to each other, all living beings and the environment in which we live." -Mike Robbins
Mike Robbins goes on to describe how the film relays 3 important messages:
Honor the sacred: A central theme of the film is the way in which the Na'vi (the native species of the moon Pandora, where the story takes place) honor the sacredness of their land—specifically Hometree (where they live) and the Tree of Souls (where they worship). They have a deep sense of reverence for these important places and for all of Pandora. How well do you honor your own space? How much reverence do you hold for where you live, where you pray, meditate or worship, where you work, where you eat, the planet? So often we forget that the sacredness of any place is more about how we relate to it than about the space itself. We have the ability to bring a sense of sacredness to anywhere we are, at any time.
Connect with spirit: The Na'vi worship a mother goddess called Eywa. Eywa is the center of the Na'vi's spiritual universe, and their reverence for her is displayed in a beautiful and palpable way throughout the film. In all that the Na'vi do, there is a direct connection back to their relationship with Eywa. There are breathtaking scenes in the film showing large groups of Na'vi chanting and praying around the Tree of Souls as a way to honor, connect with and access Eywa's power, wisdom and love. How consciously do you connect with spirit in your own life? We often get so busy that we don't take the time to connect with spirit in a deliberate and meaningful way in our daily lives. We also sometimes get too caught up in the external aspects of our spirituality—thinking we have to go to a specific service or gathering, practice a particular form of prayer or meditation or do something else externally in order to tap into our spiritual connection. While any of these practices can help us access spirit, none of them are necessary: We can connect with God at any time, in any place and for any reason.
Remember our interconnectedness: The way the Na'vi live in harmony with their land and all living creators is one of the most profound and awe-inspiring elements of Avatar . There is a deep respect and appreciation for all living creators and for all elements of nature that the Na'vi truly embody. A great example of this is how the Na'vi warriors bond with their Banshees (the four-winged creatures they fly around on). Once they bond—which they do both physically and energetically—they are bonded for life and work together as one. The first few scenes in the film where we see the Na'vi warriors connect with their Banshees literally took my breath away and had a visceral impact on me as I sat in the theater. The many ways in which the Na'vi exemplifies this interconnectedness remind us of the universal oneness that is at the core of our spiritual essence. How consciously interconnected do you feel toward other people, living creatures and our planet in your daily life? It's so easy for us to get caught up in the illusion of separateness—we think, talk and are reminded of all the ways we are different, disconnected and isolated from one another, living creators and the earth all the time. However, most of us have had experiences in our lives where we've felt a deep sense of interconnectedness, not just with people we know and love, but with all of life. In those moments, we've seen, felt and touched the depth of our spiritual nature. When we consciously tap into this, we remember that, at the deepest level, we are all one. -Mike Robbins on oprah.com
Personally, the Navi reminded me of the Native Americans. They have a spirit that echoes the spirit of their environment. They have a respect for all the plants, air, animals and fellow spirits all around them. If they must kill an animal for survival, they stop, bless the animal and send it to Eywa (their god) to protect it. They believe the energy of that animal goes back to the universe. I want to live this very way. I want to be one with the energy that has been lended to me. I do not want to get caught up in the craziness of the reality we exist in today. I want to transcend the human negativity and unconsciousness and exist on a conscious level with the universe and the spirits in nature all around us. This is what beauty means to me.
I share the following quote that touched me from the film:
"All energy is borrowed. Someday, you have to give it back."

Classic Beauty

To me, classic beauty embodies grace, elegance, poise, sophistication. One with class is demure, calm, serene and confident. She demands attention just by her mere presence. One with class is the observer and not the entertainer. However, at the same time she is captivating in the simplicity of her presence. One with class never thinks about having it and never looks down on others nor snubs anyone. A classic beauty transcends others' negative behavior and simply walks away. A classic beauty is strong, yet never expresses her strength in a negative way. She always possesses an even tempo and is always connected to her inner spirit. A classic beauty does not need to be a world traveller or full of monetary wealth and prestige. Rather a classic beauty is special because she just has the "it" quality that everyone wishes they had. Her fashion is simple, yet beautiful, with a few intricate pieces that stand out. Her fashion is timeless, never trendy. I am inspired by classic beauty.

Beauty, Fashion, Spirit

Today, I highlight Gisele Bundchen as someone who embodies true beauty. She embodies the essence of outer beauty and inner beauty. She is the epitomy of fashion, as one of the most famous and iconic supermodels in the world. Yet, she is a true ambassador for the environment and all the creatures in nature that do not have a voice. Many people might not know that Gisele is an environmentalist with a strong passion and desire to help our planet and preserve nature. Born and raised in her early years in Brazil, she understood the beauty and importance of the rainforest and the wealth that exists underneath the great umbrella of trees. Modeling was her vehicle in life to get to this point where she is able to use her fame to bring awareness. Gisele inspires me by the way she lives her life. She has lived the beautiful, fast-paste and oftentimes shallow world of fashion and yet is quoted as saying her passion lies within simplicity, love, nature and the energy that is given to us from all things pure, natural and spiritual. Gisele studies Buddhism, as well as the teachings of Don Miguel Ruiz (the Toltec beliefs of guiding one's spirit out of the dream of hell in the reality we live in here on earth to personal and spiritual freedom). Described by many as a mesmerizing spirit with strong energy, Gisele finds happiness in being alive everyday. She views challenges as opportunities to learn and grow. She said in her early to mid twenties, she found her spirit caught up in the glitz and glamour of the fashion world. She did not feel herself anymore. She felt as though she was living and yet not feeling. She finally stopped and shut everything out. She went on a trip to Africa with her parents and traveled there for six months. It was during this time that she learned about the blessings in life and the true spirit of nature and the creatures who live as one with their spirit. She decided from that point on to not abuse her outer shell; to take care of her body and do away with the harmful habits (drinking too much wine and smoking). She new that the vessel in which her spirit exists needs to be maintained and cared for just like her inner spirit in order to be able to be the best woman she could be and help make others aware. She felt a oneness with nature and from that point on blesses and thanks every meal that includes meat, thanking the animal for giving it's life for her. I highlight Gisele because she is an inspiration to mankind. She has found her peace and continues to foster and maintain this peace and connection with her true spirit each and every day she is alive on this planet. She is proof that even with all of the greed, shallowness and competativeness among human beings, one can transcend all of that and live as one with their own true spirit.

What is beauty?

Beauty....Beauty to me is the soul/spirit of a person. It is the tranquility of nature. The stillness of the night, the serenity of a forest, the rhythm of the ocean. Beauty to me is authenticity, serenity, honesty, truth and peace. A beautiful person is one who possesses the qualities I just listed and them some. A beautiful person to me is one that possesses an even tempo, a loving spirit, a oneness with nature and true inner connection with their own spirit. A beautiful person to me is one that transcends the negativity of human behavior and walks through each day of life with a true connection with the universe and the energy it possesses. A beautiful person truly knows they are borrowing energy from our universe and cherishes and nurtures this energy to live the most loving and fulfilling life. Everyday, I strive to achieve this beauty. Every day I try to be a better person who is more in tune with my own spirit and with nature. Every day I try to be a confident spirit who transcends negativity and embraces the natural beauty around me. I truly believe that the truth is held in nature. For me, to truly be a beautiful spirit, I must listen and exist as one with nature and it's energy.
