I am reading this book on relaxation that I recently purchased. One of the chapters is on cue-breathing. The chapter discusses practicing the technique of breathing and saying a phrase each time you breathe. It advises to practice this technique on a regular basis so it becomes automatic when more stressful situations arise in life. The phrase I have chosen to practice when I breath is "Relax and let go." I think we as a society think we can control everything. It is times like the earthquake and tsunami in Japan that clearly show we as humans have absolutely no control. The universe, which has created us, is much more powerful. Therefore, reminding myself to relax and let go is something I will practice and believe will bring calm to my life and my thoughts.
