Eat, Pray, Love
I finally saw the movie that my friend Sarah told be about. Sarah actually suggested I read the book, but since I have not done that, I finally decided to watch the movie. I really enjoyed following this woman's journey. Although, I didn't really feel connected to her life, there were moments in the film that I found quite beautiful. One of my favorite moments was when Julia Roberts' character is sitting under a tree writing when all of a sudden the rogue elephant that an Indian man had warned her about came walking right up to her. At first she seemed terrified, but then realized the gentleness of the massive spirit. It was a beautiful moment. Another moment in the film I loved was when she was riding her bike through Bali in her colorful dress and sneakers and suddenly just smiled. She finally looked free and naturally happy. The beauty in the film is the freedom she finds while discovering that you must simply let go and not control life.
